The 8 releases with a beautiful, dark graphite finish, rounded corners and thin bezels that really accentuate the larger (13-inch) screen. Though we're fans of the Surface Pro 7 (and 7+), design-wise, the they looked and felt a bit samey. The Surface Pro 8 provides a much needed design update to a series that was starting to seem old. There are relatively low Surface Pro 8 prices right now, whether that's direct from Microsoft, or through a number of trusted retailers. But luckily that hasn't been the end of decent Surface Pro 8 deals.
Of course if this turns out not to be the case costco will always have the surface pro to go back to.We saw a huge amount of demand to buy the Surface Pro 8 over November's Black Friday. Plus with its 8gen1 processor, oled display, and 11,200mah battery I expect battery life to be far better than what I have been getting on the surface. I will most likely be taking the surface pro back, as for the price the tab s8 should be more than enough. What I didnt expect is with the student discount as well as launch day/pre order discounts I can get the Galaxy Tab 8 ultra for around 700 bucks. Update: Well, samsung released their new phone lineup yesterday and I was planning on trading in my Note 20 Ultra (burn in issues) to get the S22 Ultra, which I did.
Ideally I'd get the i5 with 16gb ram but they dont carry that one and the bundle deals are really good. I run chrome and can use a decent amount of tabs, and things like matlab. I went online and saw they have the i7 16gb with 256gb SSD option for $1549 and am wondering if the extra power and (more importantly) RAM is worth is as an engineering major? I will be using this laptop for anything they require as well as note taking. In store thats the only option, and I love the device. I recently picked up a Surface Pro 8 Bundle from costco for 1199, the i5/8gb with 256gb SSD.
